Hi, I'm Sanchita!

I'm a New Delhi transplant living in Boston, Massachussets. Having built a career on content writing for for the marketing departments of various organizations, I'm looking to dive into the creative world of advertising strategy to help brands find the right ways to engage and excite their audiences.

I'm passionate about anything and everything that expresses creativity and exhibits finesse. Dance, music, design, fashion, food, and all things fun -- these make up the essence of life for me.

Please check out my resume to get the latest snapshot of my career so far, and feel free to connect with me on the following platforms!

Strategic Planning

Miami Ad School

I wanted to further explore my love for advertising, and that brought me to Miami Ad School. I discovered the strategic planner role, and immediately dove into their bootcamp program. In this section, I've laid out the assignments I completed as part of the program.

I have always been excited by the creative challenge to find the right ways to express the right ideas to the right audience, and the strategic planning role feels like the perfect intersection of creativity with every aspect of advertising - be it storytelling, copywriting, art direction, market research, communication, or client management.

I’m inspired to pursue strategic planning as the next steps on my journey in a career in advertising!

Bed Bath & Beyond

The task for this assignment was to create Bed Bath & Beyond’s “Back to School” campaign for college students getting ready for another academic year in the pandemic. While looking through BB&B’s catalog for inspiration, I was transported back to memories of my own college experience.

Thinking back on the excitement and anxiety of that time in my life, I remember how fun and important it was to learn to gain control over my life. Since the pandemic has taken away so much certainty from all of us, I wanted to deliver the message that BB&B can help students create a space that they can control - not only to provide safety and comfort, but also to support them in achieving their aspirations.

Wendy's

My hometown of Delhi is well known for its delicious food, and I always loved visiting different restaurants or food stalls to taste something new. I try to do the same in the US, but I miss the spice and punch of Indian food. I wish that people here could experience those amazing flavors! So when I was given the opportunity to build a campaign for Wendy’s introducing zesty Indian flavors in their burgers, this project became quite close to my heart (and my stomach).

I dove into various trade magazines to learn restaurant trends and found that the rising interest in bold international flavors had only accelerated during the pandemic. Food has always been a source of comfort, but being stuck at home made people crave interesting and exciting flavors as a means of novelty and exploration.

EVgo

When you’re on a trip, not being able to charge your phone is stressful. Not being able to charge your car is downright scary! This assignment for EVgo gave me the opportunity to understand the EV charging landscape in the UK, which turns out to be very confusing and complicated indeed. My customer research led me to a community of EV drivers on YouTube, where many passionate people were helping their fellow drivers navigate the difficulties of EV infrastructure in the UK.

World Woman Foundation

The highlight of the M.Ad bootcamp program was getting to collaborate with a real client, the World Woman Foundation. They have a wonderful mission of helping women discover their real potential, and came to us with the challenge to help their brand connect with a very important audience - teenage girls. Teenage girls represent the future, and understanding the nuances of their interests and behavior is crucial to grab their attention!

Social media is the most effective platform to engage teenagers, as they are almost constantly online. I developed a social media strategy for WWF to gain traction with this audience, and laid out a content strategy that would encourage interaction and engagement.

Digital Marketing

After moving to the US, I had to pause my career due to restrictions in the immigration process. However, I was keen to dive deeper into marketing and advertising, so I enrolled in a digital marketing bootcamp at General Assembly in Boston. This gave me a chance to learn more about American work culture, meet new people, improve my content creation skills, and develop a deeper understanding of the technical and quantitative aspects of the industry.

Content Writing

Having always been a lover of the art of storytelling, content writing was a very fitting role for me. I’ve helped a number of companies tell their stories by writing content for blogs, websites, print marketing and communication materials. Content writing gave me an inside perspective of a number of different industries, and helped sharpen my skills in researching topics that are brand new to me, molding thoughts and ideas to make sense of those topics, and communicate them effectively to various audiences on different media.

RASA - Art in the Stars

Rasa is one of my experimental projects which I started because of my love for Art. It began with an Instagram page and posting photos of art works and handmade products by me and my friends. I enjoy writing the captions to and share my perspective on the art work. In order to explore digital marketing and explore my content creating skills, I have presented here three samples of my work for Rasa.

This is a Facebook post which informs the audience about an upcoming Rasa pop up store at a mall.

This is a sample monthly newsletter informing subscribed customers about the latest fall collection of Rasa. A monthly newsletter could be a good way to connect with new customers, as well as retain regular customers.

Continuing the theme of the Fall 2020 collection, this is a blogpost that elaborates on what kind of products the buyers can expect in the latest collection.
